She is the daughter of Harvey Welker a Native American father and Julie Welker an African-American mother. Her mother is an agent for real estate, and her father has a degree in engineering. Walker was a student at Germantown Friends School, which is part of the Germantown Friends School of Philadelphia's Germantown and graduated with an award in 1994. In 1998, Walker earned the bachelor's diploma from Harvard College. Welker is engaged to John Hughes a well-known marketing director at Merck located in Philadelphia and has two kids. They started an affair in 2014. John her husband has more than four years of her life. Their relationship was progressing enough that they decided to take their relationship to a new level. On March 4th 2017 they tied the knot. Philadelphia Pennsylvania hosted their wedding. In the Hyatt, they held a huge wedding. The reception was open to family members and close friends.
